Growing up with an art-studio in my house—surrounded by paints, brushes, fabric, thread, clay and wool—learning to express my love for the world through images and colors came naturally.
I gather inspiration from the outdoors: colors that change with the seasons and the weather, shapes of trees and animals, and patterns of stones, water and plants. Art reminds me of transformation, finding unexpected solutions that are more beautiful than we first expect, and that gives me hope.
I strive to create beauty through ordinary things, to see the potential in a piece of birch bark that I find along the roadside, and to make it so others can see that potential in the world around them. Our world, our friends, our towns, are all full of so much potential, and when we see it, everything is possible!
I am happiest when I work with my hands.
I hope you like my work!
